The Arts Society provides children and young people with exciting opportunities to get involved in creative arts activities. Our work with young people builds a lasting enthusiasm for the arts and an awareness of arts heritage and its conservation.

Young Arts opportunities are organised by individual Societies. Some Societies have on-going Young Arts Groups while others fund one-off Young Arts Projects, which can range from running arts awards to funding artists in residence in primary schools.  Click here to find out about Young Arts activities in the Chiltern Hills area of The Arts Society.

This October and November (2017) we have been supporting Eton Porny First School in their project "Only One You" - a whole-school initiative in which each child has designed and painted a pebble to represent him or herself.  It is now completed and the pebbles been arranged as part of a garden.  The school started their project on Wednesday October 18th and a group of our members went along to see them at work.  The children were very enthusiastic and eager to tell us about their painting.  We welcomed four of the pupils and their head teacher, Katherine Russeill, to our November meeting when we are able to hand over the cheque.  See photograph opposite.

Our new project will be with St. Nicolas' First School in Taplow, for which we shall be helping them to buy art and craft materials.  We have been invited to visit the school on Wednesday June 13th at 1.30.  Anyone interested in coming please contact our Young Arts Representative, Sheila Seales,
