The Arts Society in the Windsor area

There are two separate member societies in the Windsor area, offering the choice of afternoon or evening meetings. Each has its own programme of lectures and events and is run by its own separate committee:

  1. The Arts Society Windsor (this website)
  2. The Arts Society Windsor (Evening)

Both Societies meet on the third Wednesday of the month from September to June at the Memorial Hall, Straight Rd, Old Windsor SL4 2RN, and both belong to the Chiltern Hills Area group of member societies of 'The Arts Society'.

LATEST NEWS - WE ARE NOW SELLING DVD'S AND CD'S.  Please bring along those unwanted items along with your books that others would like to read.

Our book sales have proved a great success.  We have now raised £130.  Our President, Edna Thomas, is to be congratulated for master-minding it.

However, we still need more books - art books, novels, cookery books, children's books ... all are welcome at every meeting.  Bring them along!

Following the fascinating lecture on Charles H. Mackie given by Pat Clark at the September meeting there was a lot of interest in organising a short break in Edinburgh to visit the Mackie exhibition that Pat is co-curating.  Click here to go to the Visits Page for further details.

Our 2019-20 series of lectures (commencing Wednesday 18th Sep 2019) is now available to view on the Lectures page. The 2pp A4 sheet issued to members is available to download from the 'Documents' box on the Our Society page.  Or click here to download the programme.
